The “Third International Congress for Young Egyptologists – Commerce and Economy in Ancient Egypt” organised by the Byblos Foundation is going to be held on September 25 – 27, 2009 in Budapest, Hungary. The aim of the congress series initiated in 2003 is to provide an opportunity for young Egyptologists to become acquainted, and to exchange ideas about their work and their research. The first Congress was held in Chianciano Terme, Italy, the second took place in Lisbon, Portugal in 2006. Byblos Foundation is looking for partners among both corporate and nonprofit organsations, and is open to cooperation that supports the organisation of a congress of high quality by academic standards. Opportunities for sponsorship are numerous ranging from minor organisation costs to the edition of the proceedings of the congress.
